OHAWE - Podcast 2025
To expand the scope of the project that began last year, the One Health Collaborating Center (OHCC) at Udayana University developed a Podcast in collaboration with the International Alliance Against Health Risks in Wildlife Trade (implemented by The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit). This initiative is part of the program "The Application of One Health Approach to Raise Wildlife Protection Awareness in Indonesia" (OHAWE).
This podcast, aimed at the general public and also serving as an educational tool at the university level, is expected to raise awareness among teenagers and the wider community regarding the health risks associated with wildlife trade. In its second year, Udayana OHCC again involved other OHCC networks under the Indonesia One Health University Network (INDOHUN), which successfully created storybooks for 4th-6th grade elementary school students in OHAWE's first year. This collaboration with Syiah Kuala University Aceh, IPB University (Bogor Agricultural Institute), Cenderawasih University Papua, Gadjah Mada University Yogyakarta, Airlangga University East Java, and Hasanuddin University South Sulawesi resulted in two types of podcasts—Studio and Talk Show—for each region, totaling 14 podcast recordings. These are available for free on online platforms like YouTube and Spotify, with subtitles and sign language translations.
